Stem Mastering is the big brother of usual mastering that becomes more and more popular these days.

In opposite to usual mastering process the mastering enginier operates on a couple of tracks instead of a stereo mixdown. This can be grouped tracks for drums, bass, lead sounds, vocals, but also a very granular choice of track per instrument.

The role of the mixing enginier and mastering enginier become very close since the mastering enginier mixes these single tracks into a stereo sum.

The benefit over usual mastering lies in the increased flexibility of the mastering engineer to fix problems on a track basis instead of the whole sum. Additionally the mastering engineer uses high end summing units to achieve the best possible sound quality for the final mixdown.
Futhermore once the song is mixed in the analog domain, it can be processed further in the analog domain without the need of an extra analog-digital-analog conversion in between, that would be required in usual stereo mastering.

I offer stem mastering for any number of tracks, but i need to change by a track count of 16.
